On April 1, 2024, the driver of the getaway vehicle involved in the shooting incident on January 18, 2024, was apprehended by police. The 36-year-old female was processed and turned over to the Hudson County Corrections Center.
At this time, there are warrants out for the shooter, Ms. Toi Gilyard. Detectives are actively attempting to locate her and if anyone has any information on her whereabouts, please contact the Harrison Police Department Detective Bureau.
This incident originated on January 18, 2024, in the area of the Hampton Inn. The suspect shot two victims while they were exiting the hotel parking lot. The suspect then re-entered the getaway vehicle as the passenger and fled the area.
