On January 7 at 930PM, Officer Amaris Gracian was on a directed patrol near Somerset Street when she observed an unoccupied vehicle parked on the wrong side of the street. As she approached, she observed a male and female returning to the vehicle. When she reached the vehicle, she smelled raw marijuana coming from inside. After a brief interview, the officer discovered suspected marijuana in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The female, 28 from North Carolina, was arrested and charged with possession. The male, 32 from East Orange, was found to have an active warrant from Newark and was also arrested and charged with possession. Both offenders were processed without incident.
