On February 10 at 1AM, while engaged in Crime Suppression, Officer Matt Murphy and Sergeant Corey Karas observed black Nissan traveling at a high rate of speed and swerving on FER Blvd. After stopping the vehicle and approaching the driver’s side, they could smell the odor of marijuana. Officer Kirk Zeta arrived to assist as the officers were speaking with the female driver and two male passengers who had been asked to exit the vehicle. After a brief interview, a search of the two males, 20 and 35 from Newark, yielded suspected marijuana, heroin, Percocet, cocaine, a number of other pills, pipes and related drug paraphernalia. The female was not found to be in possession of any illegal contraband and was released from the scene. Both males, were arrested. The 35 year old was released on a summons, the 20 year old was charged with the bulk of the CDS and transported to the County Jail.
